There will be three categories for submissions: poetry, fiction/creative nonfiction, and critical essay. Students may submit pieces for each category, but may only make one submission per category. All submissions should follow the guidelines below.
1) POETRY: Submissions should not exceed 10 pages in length (12-point font, 1 inch margins).
2) FICTION/CREATIVE NON-FICTION: Submissions should not exceed 12 pages in length (12-point font, 1 inch margins, double-spaced).
3) CRITICAL ESSAY: Submissions should be essays on literature or theory and should not exceed 15 pages (12-point font, 1 inch margins, double-spaced). The paper should have appropriate works cited and parenthetical citations following MLA or University of Chicago guidelines.
4) All pieces must be submitted by e-mail to email@example.com as .docx attachments by Friday, March 4, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. Submission documents must include a valid uNID at the bottom of each page and must NOT contain names or any any other identifying markers. Winners will be announced by Monday, March 22 via email.
